Pressure washing paver sealing Fort Walton Beach

Paver driveways and paver patios should always have adequate sand in the joints and should be regularly sealed to get the most life out of them and keep the pavers looking great indefinitely. This Fort Walton Beach paver driveway however, had been overrun with weeds and had minimal sand in the joints.

We started off by treating the surface with our cleaning solution to kill organic growth on the pavers and to kill the weeds between and under them. Once the solution did its job we used our pressure washing surface cleaner to clean the entire surface and remove large chunks of weeds. Once all the muck was rinsed away we used a pressure washing turbo nozzle to dig the weeds from between the cracks. After 2 days of letting the area dry we came back and swept 400lb of paver sealing sand into the joints of the pavers using a 3 direction approach to ensure every inch was completely filled and packed tightly. A leaf blower was then used to remove excess sand from the tops of the pavers and lastly the pavers were gently watered to ensure the sand made its way deep between the joints.

A few hours later once the area was dry the paver sealing process was started by mixing our 2 part paver sealing mixture together and spraying it over the surface. In Niceville we use an overlapping spray pattern to ensure every inch is coated and flooded with paver sealing solution. This process gets the sealant in to the sand and makes it rock hard which will prevent weeds from growing and the sand from washing out when it rains. After 15 minutes the second coat of our paver sealing solution was applied, the second coat is used to keep the sand harder for longer and keep the pavers looking nice and dark for years to come.
